These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the A.D.A.M. desktop app, companion apps, website and related services (the "Service"). A.D.A.M. is a hobby project run by Aaron Lutz, a private individual based in Switzerland ("we", "us" or "our"). It is not operated by a company.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Closed alpha
The Service is in a closed alpha and is available by invitation code only. It is experimental: features may change, break or be removed at any time, and data may occasionally be lost. Please do not rely on the Service for anything critical.
2. Accounts
You must give accurate information when you create an account and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Please tell us straight away at support@adam-assistant.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Description of the Service
A.D.A.M. is an AI assistant. Depending on what you enable, it can hold voice and text conversations, remember information about you, carry out tasks on your computer and in your browser, connect to third-party apps, run scheduled tasks and place phone calls on your behalf. You decide which features and integrations to turn on, and you are responsible for the actions you ask A.D.A.M. to carry out.
AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Check important results before you act on them.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to break the law, to harass, deceive or harm others, to infringe anyone's rights, or to interfere with the Service or the third-party services it relies on. We may suspend accounts that misuse the Service.
5. Paid plans
Some plans may be offered for a fee. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions are billed in advance for each billing period and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal linked from your account; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices and plan contents during the alpha may change; we will tell you before a change affects a subscription you already have.
6. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you provide to the Service and to the results it produces for you. You give us the permission needed to store and process that content only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party services
The Service works with third-party services, such as AI model providers and apps you connect. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to support@adam-assistant.com. We may suspend or end access to the Service, for example if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the project. We will try to give reasonable notice where we can.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided free of charge or at an introductory price as an experimental alpha, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
